I mainly tutor secondary pupils in Year 10 to Year 13 who are working towards their GCSE and A Level exams.
My approach for GCSE and A Level pupils is based on focused explanations during the tutoring sessions followed up by encouraging learners to carry out plenty of independent practice, using mathematics textbooks that I will recommend, which helps consolidate the key ideas and mathematical techniques. My explanations emphasise the underlying principles of answering exam questions and how to apply those principles to the more involved and higher-mark problem solving questions in order to attain the higher grades in exams. I also promote hard-work ethic and a “can-do” mindset.
Designed for learners who are no longer in full-time education and who need a structured course to enable them to take a GCSE or A Level maths exam. This option could suit adults who are changing career and need a mathematics qualification.
Just as for one-to-one sessions but in small groups of 2-5. Group tuition helps reduce the per-person cost.

I offer online tutoring over Zoom. Tutees are able to clearly see my written explanations and interact with me using the tools built into Zoom. During the tutoring lessons, I share various learning resources over Zoom to help explain content just as a teacher would during a regular school-based lesson. Lessons are available after school hours and at weekends.
